This is a solid cast brass heavy weight deep D ring which measures 1"(25mm) across the inside of the straight edge.
The metal thickness is 4.8mm, as opposed to the standard D rings in this size which have a thickness of 3.8mm.
Cast D rings are much stronger than wire formed, and recommended for use on dog collars horse tack etc. They're also great for attaching straps to handbags etc.
