This is a traditional Barnsley saddlers sewing awl blade measuring 45mm (1.75") long. The blade has a diamond shaped profile to pierce stitch holes through your pre-marked leather.
These blades are sold separately, to be fitted at home into the awl handles that are shown in related products below.
To fit an awl blade, you will need the use of a bench vice. Short videos showing how to fit an awl blade can be easily found on Youtube.
