This miniature plane is beautifully made from hardwood, steel and brass and can be used to tidy up small areas of messy fibres on the reverse side of your leather, and for chamfering edges to a slope / bevel.
Appearances can be deceptive, as although this looks like a traditional woodworking plane, it's actually very small at just 80mm (3 1/8") long from end to end with a blade width of 13mm (1/2")
As with large planes, the blade id adjustable and removable for sharpening against a fine strop of stone, as you would with a wood plane.
