This is a truly top quality, full grain vegetable tanned cowhide. It is 2 - 2.5mm thick and is very well finished on both front and back. It is quite sturdy for its thickness and cuts well with a very neat edge.The reverse of this leather is also chestnut in colour and the core is a paler shade of brown.
Vegetable tanned leather is receptive to wet moulding, making it ideal for moulded cases and knife sheaths among its many other uses.
