This is a truly top quality, full grain vegetable tanned cowhide. It is 2 - 2.5mm thick and is very well finished on both front and back. It is quite sturdy for its thickness and cuts well with a very neat edge. This leather is through dyed so the core and reverse are also dark tan.
Vegetable tanned leather is receptive to wet moulding, making it ideal for moulded cases and knife sheaths among its many other uses.
