This is an A4 size panel of undyed vegetable tanned tooling leather.
Carefully tanned using time honoured methods, this leather has a firm, even texture, a beautifully smooth surface and a tidy flesh side.
At 3.6-4mm thick, this is our heaviest weight of undyed veg tan, which is ideal for heavy knife sheaths etc, and can also accommodate deeply carved designs.
Veg tan leather is great for wet moulding, as it's fibres become very malleable when dampened with warm water.
It's also very receptive to leather dyes, and can be treated with a surface finish once you have completed the embossing, carving or dyeing your leather.
